The project was undertaken for Cappagh Browne Utilities in Autumn 2018. The project involved the installation of 100m of 150mm VC Pipe and the construction of 5 number associated manhole chambers. The works were part of our client’s DG5 flood relief programme.
The package of work included the provision of pre-construction activities such as trial holing, utility surveys, soil sampling, WAC testing, visual condition survey and asbestos surveys.
The main works were undertaken within a busy environment at depths of up to 2m within the grounds of a secure facility and involved close liaison with residents, children’s home staff and other key stakeholders. The temporary works design for the deep excavation works was carried out and managed by our in-house team.
Upon completion of all the works we fully reinstated the area which included turfing, earthworks, kerbs, tarmac and white lining. We also carried out a CCTV survey, As-Built Documentation and final connection to the existing network.
This project highlights our ability to successfully project manage and deliver schemes within the grounds of a secure facility where certainty of delivery and complete professionalism, coupled with minimum disruption was required by our client and other key stakeholders.
Further highlighting our ability to provide a single source sub-contract solution for our clients who need the certainty of delivery in key areas such as health & safety, compliance, budget and quality.
